Terms of Service

These terms cover themkono.net. Using the site means reading its figures, holding them against your own wall, and following its links. The terms are written for that use and no other.

What this site is

This is the Mkono catalogue: macrame hangers and planters, propagation glass, faux stems, woven baskets and the racks that hold hats, glasses and jewelry, with the length, the drop and the pot size printed where you can read them. It is a reference, not a checkout. Our retail partner takes the payment, ships the parcel and handles any return; the contract of sale is formed there, on their terms.

Walls, weight and small hands

Everything here that hangs takes its load from your wall, not from ours. A hook set into drywall with nothing behind it will hold a bare pot and let go of a watered one, so find the stud or use an anchor rated above the wet weight of what you are hanging, and hang tall stands and loaded shelves where a child cannot climb them. The federal product safety commission publishes plain guidance on anchoring furniture and on keeping hanging cords away from cots and beds; we read it, we cite it, and the fixings that came in your box are the authority on the rest.

A long cotton cord and a coin-cell battery are the two things in this catalog that belong nowhere near a cot. Hang macrame clear of where a child can reach it, keep string-light battery boxes closed and out of hand, and treat a swallowed button cell as an emergency, not a wait-and-see.

Figures and photographs

Lengths, pot diameters, pack counts and hook counts come from our product data. Prices move; the figure at the till is the one that counts, and where the two disagree, the till wins. Photographs show the thing being sold, not a styled substitute, and a frame that argues with its caption is pulled rather than captioned around.
